GLEN MAZZARA BEING TAPPED FOR "THE SHINING" PREQUEL MOVIE "THE OVERLOOK HOTEL"

Well at least it isn't a remake, reboot or reimagining I guess. But it seems that after all these years iconic horror giant 'The Shining' is set to be accompanied by a new prequel entitled simply 'The Overlook Hotel'. The project, in development over at Warner Bros with Mythology Entertainment on board to produce, is lining up 'The Walking Dead' showrunner Glen Mazzara (below) to pen the script of a prequelisation to stanley Kubrick's cult classic. 'The Shining' which was released back in 1980 and loosely based around Stephen King's terrifying novel is a beautifully multi-layered horror experience with all the typically well detailed sets, sequences and performances all expertly conducted by director Kubrick. No news on the actual plot of the prequel at the moment but its believed it'll revolve around Delbert Grady the original caretaker of the Overlook Hotel.
