He started spinning hard-edged funky grooves at the tender age of 17, playing gigs at various small clubs/bars and illegal parties.
Before long, Laurence Malice of Trade invited Darren to play as a Guest in the Trade Test Lounge. Trade being known as one of the most prolific breeding ground for today’s big DJs.
After playing at nearly every Trade Test Lounge, Darren decided he wanted a part of the action closer to home. He went to Infamous in Bristol to meet with the promoter, Ben Davis, who loved his music and gave him a monthly residency.
Since then Darren's DJ career has progressed with sets across the UK including Bournemouth, Birmingham, Reading & Cardiff with residences at Wrong Turn Promotions and Essence, playing alongside such names as; Graham Park, Jeremy Healy, Anne Savage, Rob Teresa, Lee Haslam, Jon OO Fleming and Tim Lyal.
Darren is now playing a more Tech House and Techno sound and his recent productions have been signed to DBR Recordings (MC Flipside's label), Re:Sound, Abracadabra Recordings, Time Electronika and New York label, Intermission LTD.
2013 is flowing nicely for Darren so far and is looking to be a big year for the man from Herefordshire.
