Man popped for hiring a hitman to kill his pregnant girlfriend after she refused to have an abortion. A Connecticut man is now behind bars with his bail set at over $2 million after police discovered that he had his pregnant girlfriend murdered when she refused to have an abortion so he could be with his other girlfriend. Shamari Jenkins, 20, was pregnant and wanted to settle down, but her boyfriend Carlton Bryan, 21, had different plans. Bryan asked a friend to shoot his girlfriend because the girlfriend had previously decided to have an abortion but decided not to and was now 4 months pregnant. Bryan begged alleged triggerman, Matthew Allen Hall-Davis(who is in custody on unrelated robbery charges) to shoot Jenkins, 20. She was shot in the chest April 29 as she sat behind the wheel of her Honda accord, with Bryan in the front passenger seat, in front of 137 Magnolia Street in the city's North end.
